",We thank our many members who contributed their talents, food, creative ideas, and time to host a special Maundy Thursday service. We enacted the last evening of the life of Jesus as if we were there, but also here - what would it be like if your everyday friends were disciples? What would it be like today to be told to go to the sign of a fish by a man with a water jug? What would it be like if your leader asked you if you wanted your feet washed? What would it be like...if your master was taken away by a confused follower? We enacted Jesus' last meal in our fellowship hall, and then brought the disciples to "the customary place" - our sanctuary, where we watched an enactment of Jesus' last moments in the garden of Gethsemane.
Our special thank to the members of First United Methodist Church Wallingford who brought a beautiful choral piece to our transition from our enactment to a short concluding message and time of worship, and to the members of our church who decorated our fellowship hall and put out a wonderful Middle Eastern spread of treats for our Last Supper enactment. Our cast, in order of appearance:
Man with the Water Jug/Temple Guard - Bob Moore
Man at the Upper Room Door/Temple Guard - John King
Mary - Carolee "Corky Collins,
